About Me

Hi, I’m Rhonda—founder of Brown Girl Working.

By day, I’m a program and operations professional navigating corporate America, leading projects, aligning stakeholders, and turning complex ideas into real, measurable outcomes. My work sits at the intersection of strategy, execution, and impact—where organization meets innovation.

By night (and honestly, all the time), I’m deeply rooted in community. Civic engagement isn’t just something I talk about—it’s something I live. Whether I’m attending a city council meeting, supporting local initiatives, or sharing resources that help others get involved, I believe in showing up and doing the work to create change where it matters most.

Brown Girl Working was created as a space where those two worlds meet.

This is where professional development, personal growth, and community impact come together. I share insights on navigating your career, building systems that actually work, and staying grounded while doing meaningful work. It’s also where I allow myself to be human—reflecting, learning, and documenting the journey in real time.

Outside of work, I’m a lover of a good getaway, always in search of the perfect purple lipstick, and someone who believes self-care is more than a trend—it’s necessary. I’m an East Coast girl turned Georgia peach (Atlanta will always have my heart), now living just a short drive from the beach.

I hold an MBA and a collection of certifications that, depending on the day, feel either incredibly useful or slightly excessive—but all part of the journey that’s shaped how I think, lead, and show up in the world.

At my core, I’m passionate about building better systems, stronger communities, and a life that feels aligned—both inside and outside of work.

Welcome to my space.

XoXo,
BGW
